Bom Shawl

Image: The image shows an East Asian woman with purple hair leaning against the iron railings of her balcony. She is wearing a wine-red dress and a pink and purple shawl that is the highlight of the photo. The shawl is knit in two colors, one being a vibrant pink with specks of bubblegum blue, and the other being a tonal purple. The shawl, which is an asymmetrical triangle, is worn like a scarf, with the woman holding both ends of the shawl in front of her.

The shawl, which is an asymmetrical triangle, is draped over her shoulders, with one outstretched arm showing off the shawl’s texture and gradient.

Spring into the warmer weather with this boomerang shawl! “Bom” (봄), meaning “Spring” in Korean, is a quick, asymmetrical accessory that works perfectly as a bold statement piece in your favorite bright colors, or as a transitional layering piece for those cooler Spring evenings.

Simple slipped mosaic stitches are a great companion to a busy brunch out with knitting friends, while the delicate lace motif is reminiscent of blossoming redbud flowers.

Knit out of two colors of fingering weight yarn, Bom is the perfect pattern to use up any leftover skeins you may have in your stash.
